Diving Into Week 9 With Props.Cash Edge
Between today and tomorrow, there are 13 games in the NFL, and using the new Props.Cash Edge, we’re going to highlight the top Edge trend in each game. Edge is our new term for projections, so the trend we highlight is the one with the largest difference between the betting line and the projection.
Let’s get into it!
NFL Week 9 Edge
DEN @ HOU: Bo Nix, 205.5 Passing Yards
EDGE: 220.8 Passing Yards
Bo’s Nix passing yards prop is the top trend by Edge on the Props.Cash app for this game.

Nix’s data for this season has been strong - he’s been over this number in 63% of his games this season, while averaging 225.4 yards per game.

Bo Nix’s passing prop this season
He’s in tough against a Texans pass defense that ranks 4th this season, and has held 3 of the last 4 quarterbacks they’ve faced to under 200 yards (Mac Jones, Cooper Rush, Cam Ward). The quality quarterbacks they’ve faced - Sam Darnold, Trevor Lawrence, Baker Mayfield, and Matthew Stafford - have averaged 223.75 yards against them this season, with all 4 at least having 213.

IND @ PIT: Aaron Rodgers, 36.5 Longest Pass
EDGE: 48.9 Yards
Aaron Rodgers’ longest pass prop is the top trend by Edge on the Props.Cash app for this game.

Rodgers is averaging a longest pass of 49.4 this season, clearing this 36.5 line in 57% of his games. This game is in Pittsburgh, and his data at home is more encouraging than on the road. At home, he’s cleared this line in 3 of 4 starts, averaging a longest pass of 56.5 yards.

CAR @ GB: Jordan Love, 233.5 Passing Yards
EDGE: 249.1 Passing Yards
Jordan Love’s passing yards prop is the top trend by Edge on the Props.Cash app for this game.

Coming off a 360-yard game and averaging 246.3 yards per game this season at home are likely two reasons that Edge likes this prop tonight. Love is averaging 256.9 yards per game this season overall, clearing this line in 57% of his starts.

Jordan Love’s passing yards prop this season
He has a tough matchup against a Panthers defense that ranks 10th in passing yards allowed. They held Josh Allen to 163 yards last week, but did give up over 255 yards to both Dak Prescott and Tua Tagovailoa three and four weeks ago, respectively.

MIN @ DET: Jared Goff, 236.5 Passing Yards
EDGE: 246.5 Passing Yards
Jared Goff’s passing yards prop is the top trend by Edge on the Props.Cash app for this game.

Goff is in tough against a Vikings defense that ranks 7th in passing yards allowed, but there are two chinks in their armor: they rank 29th in longest pass, so the deep ball has been there for opposing teams. And, more importantly, in the last two weeks, they’ve allowed 326 and 227 passing yards. The good pass defense that they put on display in the 5 weeks previous to those two games was against quarterbacks Caleb Williams, Michael Penix, Jake Browning, Aaron Rodgers & Dillon Gabriel.

Quarterbacks against the Vikings
Goff is averaging 233 yards per game this season, clearing this line 43% of the time. He’s cleared this in 2 of 3 home games, averaging 247.7 yards per game. And in 4 of his last 5 games against the Vikings dating back 3 seasons.

CHI @ CIN: Chase Brown, 64.5 Rush + Receiving Yards
EDGE: 70.3 R+R Yards
Chase Brown’s rushing and receiving yards combo prop is the top trend by Edge on the Props.Cash app for this game.

In his last 2 games, Brown has come alive. He has 181 rushing yards on 23 carries (7.86 YPC) and 24 receiving yards. Although he’s been under this number in every single game this season except his last 2. Edge is clearly leaning heavily on his last two, and his matchup against the Bears, who rank 27th in rush yards allowed, 32nd in rush yards allowed at home, and 24th in R&R yards allowed to opposing running backs.

JAC @ LV: Jakobi Meyers, 46.5 Receiving Yards
EDGE: 51.9 Receiving Yards
Jakobi Meyers receiving yards prop is the top trend by Edge on the Props.Cash app for this game.

Meyers is averaging 54.8 yards per game this season, clearing this line in 50% of his starts, but going under in three straight games. The 2-5 Raiders aren’t very good, but Meyers remains WR1 for Geno Smith, even with three games under 40 yards.

Meyers receiving yard data this season
The matchup should help this week - the Jaguars rank 26th in receiving yards allowed, and Travis Hunter is on IR as of Friday morning, opening up space in the Jags’ secondary.
NO @ LA: Tyler Higbee, 15.5 Receiving Yards
EDGE: 21.5 Receiving Yards
Tyler Higbee receiving yard prop is the top trend by Edge on the Props.Cash app for this game.

Higbee was really quiet over the first three games, racking up zero receiving yards in 2 of the three and 37 in the other. But in the last three games, he’s found a stride in this offense, averaging 28 yards per game, with 2 or more receptions in all three games and 4 or more targets in all three games.

Higbee’s receptions this season
The Saints aren’t good at much, but they do allow the 9th fewest receiving yards per game. That does take an uptick with tight ends, where they’re ranked 15th. The last 4 tight ends to face New Orleans (over 3 games) have gone over this number.

KC @ BUF: Juju Smith-Schuster, 12.5 Receiving Yards
EDGE: 21.2 Receiving Yards
Juju Smith-Schuster’s receiving yard prop is the top trend by Edge on the Props.Cash app for this game.

Juju has cruised over this number this season, averaging 36.1 receiving yards per game, clearing this number in 7 of 8 games (88%). With the return of Rashee Rice, Juju has seen a drop in snap share, from 62% three weeks ago to 36% & 32% the last two weeks. Even with that, he still has the same number of targets over the last two weeks.

SNF, SEA @ WAS: Sam Darnold, 248.5 Pass + Rush Yards
EDGE: 267.7 Passing + Rush Yards
Sam Darnold's passing and rushing combo prop is the top trend by Edge on the Props.Cash app for this game.

Darnold is averaging 256.4 passing + rushing yards per game this season. Most of that is obviously through the air, where he averages 250.6 passing yards. All of his rushing yards have come in four games, where he had 14, 24, 2 & 1 yards. This Commander’s defense ranks 28th in passing yards allowed, so the opportunities should be there in the air.
If Darnold scrambles, he should get the yards on the ground to close this out. Every quarterback the Commanders have faced, except for Caleb Williams (-2 yards) and Michael Penix (2 yards), has gotten at least 5 yards on the ground. That includes QB’s that don’t often run: Dak Prescott (7), Geno Smith (5), and Jordan Love (12).
