In today’s newsletter, we’re scratching the itch for our NBA readers with a few partner trends at the end of the newsletter, but we’re going to focus mainly on NHL faceoff, and we’ll reshift our focus Thursday to the NBA & NFL. All 32 NHL teams are in action tonight, and we’ve got a trend for all 16 games!

Each trend highlights the top EDGE performer on the Props.Cash app for that game — and in this case, they all happened to be shots on goal or goalie saves. These trends represent the largest difference between the betting line and the player’s projection, meaning they carried the highest EDGE on the slate.

The first data point that jumped out: in their last 5 games, 18 centers have had shots on goal lines at sportsbooks against the Flyers, 10 of them have had at least 2 shots on goal, and 8 of those players have had at least 3 shots. Also…

Wolf is averaging 25 saves per game, clearing this line in 67% of his games and in 4 straight games. Two of the last three goalies to play for Toronto, Alex Lyon and Joey Daccord, sailed over this line with 31 and 27 saves.

Recent centers have had real success against Carolina, too. Just in their last three games, this is how centers have performed.

Saros is averaging 27.5 saves this season, clearing this line in 63% of his starts. His hit rate at home is slightly lower, at 60%, but his save average jumps on home ice.

He’s averaging 28.4 saves in Nashville this season.

Morrissey’s shots on goal prop doesn’t have the highest Edge on the Props.Cash app for this game, it’s third. But the top two are the goalie save props, so we’ll mix it up a bit here.

Morrissey had a slow start to this season, going under in 4 of his first 5 games. But since then, he’s rattled off 4 straight games with at least 2 shots on goal, in which 3 of those games he had 3 shots on goal.

Luke Hughes and Dougie Hamilton had 6 & 3 shots on goal recently against the Wild, and Morrissey has a good look to follow in their footsteps.

Larkin is averaging 3.0 shots on goal this season, clearing this line in 56% of his games. On the road, his average stays the same at 3.0 shots on goal, but his hit rate climbs to 67%.

Recent goalie performances against Chicago are mixed compared to this line: Anton Forsberg (22 saves), Andrei Vasilevskiy (22 saves), Lukas Dostal (28 saves), Kevin Lankinen (31 saves), and Joel Hofer (15 saves) round out their last 5. Ullmark is only clearing this line in 50% of his games, averaging just 21 saves per game.

MacKinnon’s shots on goal prop doesn’t have the highest Edge on the Props.Cash app for this game, it’s second. But the top Edge result is Scott Wedgewood’s save prop, so we’ll mix it up again.

Recent centers against the Devils include MacKinnon himself, who had 4 shots on goal just two nights ago. He also has a 70% hit rate this season against this line, averaging 4.4 shots on goal. His numbers are even better at home: 100% hit rate, averaging 5 shots on goal.

Logan Cooley’s shots on goal prop doesn’t have the highest Edge on the Props.Cash app for this game, it’s second. But the top Edge result is Stuart Skinner’s save prop, so we’ll mix it up again here with Cooley.

The Oilers gave up at least 2 shots on goal to top centers Elias Pettersson (2), Matt Beniers (2), and Nick Suzuki (6) in 3 of their last 4 games. Cooley is averaging 2.5 shots on goal this season with a 70% hit rate, but in his L5, he’s hitting at a 100% clip, averaging 3.4 shots on goal.

Pettersson was off to a slow start, going under this number in 4 of his first 5 games. On the season, he’s averaging only 1.7 shots on goal with a 50% hit rate. In his last 5 games, his hit rate has jumped to 80% and he’s averaging 2.2 shots on goal. In recent games, plenty of centers have cleared this line against the Rangers.

Suzuki’s shots on goal prop has the highest Edge on the Props.Cash app for this game.

Suzuki has struggled against this shooting line this season, hitting in just 20% of his games, averaging 2.3 shots on goal. But he’s still been really good, with a point in 9 straight games, with 13 points total, and at least 4 shot attempts in 8 of 10 games. Can he find the net 3 times?

He got off to a slow start in the shots on goal department, with just 5 shots in his first 5 games. But in his last 4, he’s flipped the script, racking up 3 or more shots on goal in each game while averaging 4.5 shots on goal.
