Let’s get into tonight’s small slate, and if you’re looking for research for today’s only NHL game, check out our link to that below.

Hawks @ Wizards: Onyeka Okongwu, 24.5 PRA

EDGE: 29.2

One of the most consistent areas of attack in props this season: centers against the Washington Wizards. 67% of opposing centers have gone over their PRA line against Washington in their last 10 games, and they rank 29th in PRA defense versus big men this season.

Washington’s defense stats versus centers

Okongwu is averaging 26.3 PRA this season, clearing this line in 65% of his games. On the road, his data is even better, averaging 27.4 PRA with a 70% hit rate. And lastly, he’s been on fire in his last five: 100% hit rate, averaging 32.6 PRA.

Magic @ 76ers: Joel Embiid, 26.5 PRA

EDGE: 33.2

The often-injured Embiid has not been able to avoid that issue this season, missing the last 7 games with his nagging knee injury. Before he went down, again, he saw his minutes climb to 26 from his starting restriction of 20. The fear with him will always be minutes coming back injury, but he had gone over this number in four straight before his latest absence.

Embiid’s PRA data this season

The Magic rank 6th in PRA defense versus centers, but they have given up big games to big-name centers recently: 33 PRA to Ivica Zubac on the 21st, 24 PRA to Draymond Green on the 19th, and 50 PRA to Alperen Sengun on the 17th. It’s also worth noting that Embiid is averaging 42.3 PRA in his last 3 games vs Orlando, but he did average 31.8 PRA in those games, too.

Clippers @ Lakers: Kawhi Leonard, 28.5 PRA

EDGE: 31.5

Leonard returned from an 11-game absence on Sunday, racking up 25 PRA in just 26 minutes. This season, he’s averaging 32.3 PRA, clearing this line in 57% of his games.

Leonard’s PRA data this season

Two other things to note with Kawhi:

  • The Lakers rank 17th in PRA defense versus small forwards, with 56% of opposing small forwards clearing their PRA line against the Lakers in their last 10 games.

  • He played 26 minutes in his return, and we can assume that if this game stays close, he’ll play around that number, or a bit more. Last season, when he played between 26 and 31 minutes, he averaged 32 PRA, with a 67% hit rate (6 games total).
