Hit-rates can start your NFL research, home/away and turf/grass filters can finish them

Hit-rates aren’t everything, but it’s at least an interesting starting point if you’re not sure how you want to approach an NFL primetime game.

As we clicked through what was currently offered for this Jaguars-Saints game, it was Alvin Kamara that kept popping up.

Kamara has a 67% hit-rate in all of the following this season:

  • Rushing yards

  • Receiving yards

  • Rushing & Receiving yards

  • Longest rush

As we kept clicking through the home page here for the varying props, one of Kamara’s rates from the past few seasons really stood out: his longest rush hit-rate.

Over the past three seasons, Kamara has cleared this 12.5 longest rush in 65% of his games, including five of his last six games.

Players who play for teams like the Saints are an interesting study, because it means you can put our grass vs. turf filter to use. The Caesars Superdome in New Orleans is a certain form of turf, and there have been impacts on various prop performances because of the playing surface.

First, we can see how often Kamara has broken off explosive runs in the confines of his home stadium.

As you can see, Kamara has cleared this 12.5 line in 10 of 14 games over the past few seasons in New Orleans, a 71% hit-rate.

Check how Kamara does when he visits other stadiums with turf.

That’s a clean five of six games since 2021, meaning that over the past 20 games Kamara has played on turf, he’s gone over this 12.5 longest rush prop line 15 times (80%).

What started from simply perusing the home page led to quite the intriguing trend after a few clicks of our filters.

NBA starts next week!

The NBA regular season begins this coming Tuesday, October 24! Our NBA dashboard is slowly opening as props start to roll out.

Keep your eyes peeled on Twitter: we will be announcing an NBA season pass package over the coming days.

We’ve added “Days Rest” filter to NHL dashboard!

Note: this newsletter is being written on Wednesday, 10/18, so the trends you see below are from yesterday. Our newsletter writer is away on a trip and had to put this together for all of you yesterday. Some of these may have hit, some may have not, but what’s important is that we wanted to flag that this filter now exists!

We’ve had days rest filters in place for NBA props, and we’ve finally applied it to NHL looks as well!

It’s a relatively straight-forward filter. All you need to do is click on the split offered for that player/team, and see how it impacts their prop performances on a variety of lines. You can also tack on a location filter to see how a player does when he’s at home and rested.

Let’s say you click into this Washington-Ottawa game and like what you’re seeing out of Brady Tkachuk to start the year. The 14 total SOG on 23 total attempts is volume we typically tend to follow, so perhaps we see how last season went when he was on two-days rest.

Well, things start to get a bit more convincing now. Tack on how he does when he is rested and at home below, and well, let’s just say we’re quite inclined to take Tkachuk’s shots tonight.

Let’s keep hunting.

Washington’s Tom Wilson recorded a point in just 43% of his games dating back to the start of last season, making his +105 points prop feel relatively fair.

Something about Wilson getting into a groove and playing after just one days rest seems to get the most out of his point production.

A bulk of those points have been goals, with Wilson scoring in four straight games after one days of rest, going over his 2.5 SOG line each time as well. It will be interesting to see if this trend has any legs for Wilson in this Washington-Ottawa game.

Hop into the NHL dashboard today and start exploring! If you apply this filter to anyone on a team, it will stay applied as you click through each player, to help you quickly find trends that stick out. Good luck on the ice, and we hope you enjoy this new research option!

TNF Trends this Week

Blake Grupe Kicking Points

New Orleans kicker Blake Grupe has gone over this 6.5 Kicking Points line in five of six games, making 2+ field goals in all five games he’s gone over. Can Grupe keep it going on Thursday against the Jaguars?

Andre Cisco Tackles

Jacksonville’s Andre Cisco has piled up 3+ tackles in four straight games and 10 of his last 15. Curiously, his hit-rate at at his tackles & assist prop is far lower. Can Cisco get in on enough solo tackles to keep this streak alive?
