Let’s start with the first arm on that list — Bryce Miller.

Miller is set to be activated by the Mariners ahead of their game today, having not started since June 6th because of an elbow injury. In his last 4 starts before the injury, Miller gave up 5 hits in every start and has averaged 5.2 hits allowed across his 10 starts this season.

Miller also gave up 3 or more earned runs in his last 4 starts, and 4 or more in three of those. And unfortunately for him, he’s lined up to return against the Philadelphia Phillies, who have scored 23 runs in their last two games while hitting .393 as a team. Bryce Harper and Trea Turner have led the way.

Austin Gomber

Gomber's hits allowed line is at an incredible 6.5 tonight against the Dodgers, and something tells us his home data played a role in the line finding its way there.

So, which Dodger should you target against Gomber? His righty left splits are awful on both sides, with both handiness rocking an average north of .300 versus Gomber. But at home, it’s a bit of a different story. Lefties are only hitting .167 at home versus Gomber (.414 on the road), while righties are hitting .389 when Gomber is pitching at home.

Eduardo Rodriguez

In his 7 starts between July and August, Rodriguez has given up 6 or more hits every time, averaging 7.2 hits allowed in those starts.

Righties are hitting .290 against Rodriguez, which is a problem, but lefties are the biggest issue. Across 94 plate appearances, lefties have collected a .364 average versus Rodriguez. Angel Martizen, who is hitting one spot ahead of Ramirez, is the second-best hitter on the team against lefties, with a .300 average.
