Thursday Deep Dive: Betting Trends for the NBA, Stanley Cup Playoffs and MLB
There are 3 games in the NBA tonight, 4 games in the Stanley Cup Playoffs and 9 games on the diamond. We dove into the data for all three leagues and found some compelling numbers to share with you. BUT BEFORE WE DO! If you DM us on Instagram, @propsdotcash, we’ll tell you how you can win a free month!
Let’s get into it, starting with the Knicks and Pistons game three in Detroit.
NBA
NYK at the Pistons: Cade Cunningham 28.5 Points
Cunningham is 50% against this line so far this season, with 21 and 33 points. But there are two reasons we’re pointing it out here: He closed out his season exceptionally well at home, scoring 35 or more points in his final 3 home games.

Cunningham’s Last 5 Games at Home
All the performances in those last three home games, and in game two of this series (where he scored 33 points), had three things in common: Cade played over 32 minutes, Cade attempted 21 or more shots, and had 4 or more free throw attempts. In games with those three parameters this season, Cade is averaging 31.6 points.

And the Knicks were 3rd worst in point guard defense this year.
OKC at Memphis: Isaiah Hartenstein, 9.5 Rebounds
Hartenstein has 18 rebounds in the first two games, going over this line in game 2 and ending with just 8 rebounds in game one. But it’s his numbers on the road that caught our eye.

Plus, in the first two games, he had 19 and 21 rebound chances. This season with 19 or more rebound chances, he’s averaging 12.1 rebounds, going over this 9.5 line in 82% of his games with that parameter.
Nuggets at Clippers: Norman Powell, 16.5 Points
Eventually, Norman Powell is going to score 17 points. He only has 25 in the first two games of the series, even though he’s played 37 & 33 minutes. This season, with the Clippers healthy and Powell playing at least 32 minutes, he’s averaged 21.7 points, and gone over this number 73% of the time.

And in the first two games of the series, he’s attempted 12 and 14 field goals. In games this season attempting 12 or more shots, he’s averaging 23.4 points, and clearing this line 82% of the time. The flip has to switch for Powell, sometime.
Stanley Cup Playoffs
Here are some quick hitters for the Stanley Cup Playoffs tonight…
Sam Reinhart, 2.5 Shots on Goal
Reinhart has gone over this number 8 of his last 10 games against Tampa Bay and managed to go over this number in game one with only 3 shot attempts. This season, he’s averaged 5.4 shot attempts, and going over this number with only 3 is an encouraging sign. He averages 3.4 shots on goal with 5 or more shot attempts, going over this 77% of the time.

Tim Stutzle, 1.5 Shots on Goal
The Leafs/Sens series is shifting back to Ottawa, and that should give Travis Green the chance to get Tim Stutzle better matchups against the Leafs’ bottom two lines and their bottom defensive pairing. At home against Toronto, he’s averaged 2.6 shots on goal and gone over this number in 4 of his last 5 games against the Leafs at home.

Kirill Kaprizov, 3.5 Shots on Goal
Kaprizov had 2 assists in game one and attempted just 3 shots (finished with 1 shot on goal), but in game two he was a little more aggressive. He fired 8 attempts on net and finished with 4 shots on goal, and similar to Stutzle he should be able to get away from Vegas’s best defensive players. At home against the Knights earlier this season, he had 6 shots on goal.

Jordan Kyrou, 2.5 Shots on Goal
Kyrou averaged 2.7 shots on goal on the road this season, going over this number 57% for the time. In the first two games of the series, he managed 6 shots on goal (4,2). As this series shifts to St Louis, Kyrou’s home numbers are better: he averaged 3.1 shots on goal at home, going over this number in 63% of his home games. If the Blue are going to get back in this series, Kyrou will lead the charge.
