Finding some NFL prop spots for Wild Card Weekend

It’s Wild Card Weekend, meaning we have six NFL games to dig into. Fret not about the lack of games, there appears to be plenty of spots of intrigue. Let’s quickly walk through each weekend game and take a few minutes to highlight what we’re seeing on the Props.Cash dashboard.

Cleveland vs. Houston

The Browns are here because of their elite defense, and as you can see here, they rank at the top of the league in many defensive categories that relate to the passing game.

That gives us some hesitation on backing standout QB CJ Stroud here.

It certainly explains his low line relative to his performance this season. Stroud is averaging 310+ passing yards/game at home this year. Are you trusting him to step up or choosing to fade the rookie against this tough defense?

Miami vs. Kansas City

Miami does tend to see passing touchdowns scored against them, suggesting that some of these Kansas City pass-catchers might offer some value on Saturday night.

A quick scan through the dashboard shows us that Rashee Rice scored earlier this season against Miami, and has a touchdown in five of his last 10 games. After a few quiet games, is Kansas City’s top WR set to find pay-dirt here?

Pittsburgh vs. Buffalo

The Buffalo defense owns the fourth-best INT rate in the league, and if you look down at how past QBs have fared against the Bills, you see that picks have been aplenty of late for this team.

They’ve intercepted five passes in the past two games.

Mason Rudolph has protected the football this season for Pittsburgh. Does that change Sunday?

Green Bay vs. Dallas

The projections model we partner with is bullish on a big Dak Prescott game this weekend against the Green Bay defense, and it’s not hard to see why when you look at how Prescott has performed at home.

Dak has averaged 308.8 passing yards/game in eight home games, tossing 2+ touchdowns in six straight. Will it be more of the same for the Cowboys passer this weekend?

Los Angeles vs. Detroit

The Lions rank favorably in touchdowns allowed across the board, which would conceivably open the door to some Los Angeles scoring props.

If you hop over to this game’s dashboard and look at the Anytime TD market, there are a few hot-hands worth consideration. Kyren Williams and Cooper Kupp have both scored in four of their last five games, with Williams being one of the steadiest scorers we’ve seen all season.

Use the NBA alt-line dashboard to find bankroll builder legs

If you’d prefer to find some safer numbers at lower numbers in the NBA prop market, have you considered using our alt-line dashboard?

All you need to do is navigate to the trends page on your Props.Cash account and go over to “Alt Lines.” There, you can choose a variety of options for varying props and then see how certain players have fared against that number.

While the odds are going to reflect these percentages more often than not, you’re still greeted by a host of green when you look at players hit-rates for scoring 20+ points.

Now, obviously, we’re not recommending you put Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to score 20+ points into a bet-slip, that’s around -1600 on certain books. However, you could look to the 25+ market, and our dashboard there still offers green for some of the more obvious names here, like SGA, Giannis and Durant.

Projections all point the arrow up on 25+ points, and the names you see here have all been incredibly consistent at these numbers on the year.

This deserves a deeper dive soon, but we just wanted to flag that it’s here and at your service for all NBA props. Play around with this functionality and let us know what sticks out to you!

Khris Middleton 3PT Made

Khris Middleton cleared his “3PT Made” prop in eight of his last 10 – Through his L10, MIddleton’s 1.7 3PTM season-average increase to 2.3 3PTM/G. He now goes up against the Celtics who allow the 7th most 3PTM/G, but this also comes with the 12th lowest Opponent 3PT%.

Donte DiVincenzo Steals

Donte DiVincenzo has gone over his “Steals” prop in nine of his last 10 – He is currently on a seven game streak with one or more Steals. The Mavs are middle of the pack when it comes to StealsAllowed/G (15th) – Last season, DiVincenzo has two Steals in all three matchups vs DAL.

Sebastian Aho Power Play Points

Sebastian Aho has a power play point in 7 of his last 10 games, totaling 13 in that span. The Hurricanes power play is humming along and comes into a match up against the Ducks. They are handing out a lot of power play opportunities, so that could spell trouble for them.

Nikolaj Ehlers Points

Over his last 10 home games, Nikolaj Ehlers is averaging 1.1 points per game. The Jets will be taking on a Chicago team allowing 3.76 goals/g this season, 2nd most in the league. Ehlers has a point in 4 of his last 5 vs CHI, including 3 of 3 at home.
