Props.Cash newsletter: Simple NHL spots and using day's rest filter for NBA
NHL doesn't need to be complicated, and how to put day's rest to use for NBA props.
Using day’s rest filter to find NBA prop spots
We have a multitude of splits that can be used as filters to help fuel your prop betting process on Props.Cash, and we certainly recommend you explore how various factors can impact prop performance.
These are found for every player both on the app and desktop version, and simply clicking on any will apply that filter to a player. You can even select multiple at once, which is what we aim to walk through today.

There’s only two NBA games tonight, but let’s say we wanted to see how both location and rest impacts various players.
The first trend of interest that came up for us was Steph Curry’s assists. Curry is over this 5.5 line in just 39% of his games this season, and most books actually have him set at 4.5 here, which yields only a slightly better hit-rate of 45%.
However, a quick look to how Curry has fared at home on 1 days rest gives us a player who has dished out 6+ dimes in four of his last five such situations. This is by no means the end-all, be-all, but it’s at minimum a trend that intrigues us after just a few clicks.
Consider another star this evening in Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo. His points line feels a tad off based on how little he’s hit this number on the season. Perhaps one explanation might be what the Bucks star has done on back-to-backs this year.
It’s an extremely small sample size, but Giannis has dropped 40+ in two of the past three games on no day’s rest, including 54 points the last time he played on a B2B on the road. We’re not saying to bet the Milwaukee big to go off tonight, but it at least might help to explain why his point prop is listed so high this evening.
On more crowded NBA nights, it may be easier to find some clear trends that scream “go,” so make sure you’re testing out these filters the next time you log on to find some props on the hardwood.
Simplicity can be best with NHL props
We have seen how some in the NHL prop betting community are working through the best ways to find consistency in what has seemed to be an inconsistent year. We’ve seen this movie before, and each year, the market and players settle and the trends do prevail.
If you’re feeling like a shakeup is in order, might we recommend simplifying your process? That’s where Props.Cash comes in.
Let’s say you wanted to find yourself some goal scorer bets for this massive hockey slate. On the home page, you can sort by hit-rate for anything you want, but the above represents hit-rate vs. Opponent.
You quickly see a few names appear, namely New York’s Artemi Panarin, who has a goal in four of his last five games and in 75% of recent games against his night’s foe.
There is a whole bunch to like about what we’re seeing here. Panarin’s recent nose for the net is one thing, but this Chicago defense is just about as inviting as it gets. The Blackhawks are allowing the second-most goals per game, thanks in no small part to their penalty kill, which ranks 26th in the NHL.
So, we’ve got a generous defense, a strong recent string of success against this prop, and then the cherry on top…
Panarin has sure loved seeing Chicago, scoring four goals across his past four meetings. Perhaps you say “okay, this looks great, but goals can be up-and-down.”
Fair, but by taking these simple steps, you’re flagging Panarin is likely to be involved, which might push you to pivot to his point prop.
Wow oh wow does this man love piling up points against Chicago. At -110, this sure feels like a solid look tonight.
NBA Trends for Tonight
Victor Wembanyama Blocks Over his last 10 games, Victor Wembanyama is averaging 4.1 blocks per game, clearing his 2.5 line 8 times. He has yet to face MIL this season, and it could be a tough spot as they are blocked 4.4 times per game. | Nikola Jokic Assists Nikola Jokic is under his “Assists” prop in six of his last 10 – Across this span, his 9.5 Assists/G season average drops to 8.4 Assists/G. He may have work cut out for him against the Warriors – Jokic has failed to hit this number in both matchups vs GSW this season. |
NHL Trends for Tonight
Cole Perfetti Shots on Goal Cole Perfetti is averaging 2.9 SOG/G over his last 10 games, seeing some pretty nice volume lately. He is over in 3 of his last 4, and will get a nice matchup against CBJ. They allow 33.82 SOG/G, and he has cleared in 4 of their last 5 meetings. |
