Thursday Night Football: Tee Higgins
Everyone and their cousin is talking about Ja’Marr Chase tonight - and for good reason. He’s the best receiver in the NFL, gets a great matchup against the Steelers, who rank 27th against wideouts this season, and their defense is 31st overall.
But last week’s indicators are important, here. The QB change for Cincinnati from Jake Browning to Joe Flacco gives us reason to be optimistic.

As you can see, in the three games that Browning started, Higgins had 2, 6, and 7 targets. Last week with Flacco, that jumped up to 8 targets, which he converted into 5 receptions. It was the first time this year he had at least 5 receptions, and like we said earlier, he has a great matchup to build on that tonight.
The Steelers’ defensive data - they’ve struggled containing wide receivers this season
Pittsburgh has given up the second-most receiving yards in the NFL this season, and the third most to wide receivers. Additionally, in years past, Higgins has shown up against Pittsburgh.
