Bad Defenses Could Lead To Opportunities In Week 7 of the NFL Season
Finding Value in Bad Defenses
The Jacksonville Jaguars have the worst passing defense in the NFL.
The Minnesota Vikings have the second-best rush defense in the NFL, but a bottom-three pass defense.
The Seattle Seahawks have a top-10 passing defense, but a bottom-10 rushing defense.
Defensive data can help you find value throughout the NFL season, and we’re going to highlight that below. But first, check out our NFL best bets with @KyleJustBets on YouTube:
The Jags Can’t Stop the Pass
Jacksonville heads into week 7 averaging 276.7 yards per game, worst in the NFL by a yard per game, but 13 yards per game worse than the next team in line.
The Jags are brutal against the pass
Drake Maye and the Patriots
They get a very good matchup to right the ship; the New England Patriots have the worst passing offense in the NFL. But last week they made a quarterback change, benching veteran Jacoby Brissett and handing the keys to the franchise to Drake Maye.
Maye impressed in his first start
And behind a bad offensive line, and with a horrid receiver core, Maye managed to rack up 243 yards against Houston, the 4th best passing defense in the NFL. Maye’s line in week 7 is 200.5 passing yards, and if he can get near the 33 passing attempts he had last week, Maye should be able to find success in a spot like this.

The Vikings are Kings On The Ground But Can Be Exposed Through The Air
Only the Baltimore Ravens allow fewer yards on the ground than the Minnesota Vikings, but the Vikings passing defense is the 3rd worst in the league through 6 weeks.
The Vikings are an elite rushing defense team
Amon-Ra St. Brown
St. Brown is looking for his third straight 100-yard game against Minnesota, but he has struggled this year, with less than 50 yards in 3 of 5 Lions games.

But like we said, this Minnesota passing defense gives up a ton. In 4 straight weeks, they’ve allowed an opposing receiver to rack up 90 or more yards against them, and in three of those weeks, at least one receiver has had 100 yards against Minnesota.

There’s Opportunity on the Ground Against Seattle
Antonio Gibson, Rhamondre Stevenson, Jahmyr Gibbs, and Tyrone Tracy all have three things in common:
They’ve all faced Seattle this season, They’ve also all combined for at least 70 yards in rushing and receiving yards combined, too.
They’ve all run for 70 or more yards against the Seahawks this season.
They’ve all had decent R+R numbers outings vs Seattle, too.
Running backs versus the Seahawks
And that’s led to Seattle giving up 868 total yards on the ground, or 144.7 rushing yards per game, good for 27th in the NFL.
Bijan On The Ground, Bijan In The Air
Bijan is an elite rushing and receiving running back, but on the road, it’s emphasized.
Bijan this season
Robinson has gone over this line in both road games, averaging 113.5 rushing + receiving yards on the road, compared to 78.5 on average at home, where he’s been under this line in three of four games. His backup, Tyler Allgeier, is the same. He’s been over his line in both road games, averaging 86.5 rushing and receiving yards on the road, and been under in 3 of 4 road games, averaging 39.5 R+R yards.
