Weather To Play A Role On Thursday Night Football
Doing what we can with Props.Cash to find value as week 12 kicks off
Winter is Coming Here
It’s an AFC North matchup in Cleveland tonight between the Browns and 8-2 Pittsburgh Steelers, with the weather expected to play a significant role.
🏈☔️❄️ It’s going to be a mess in Cleveland tonight for #TNF. I expect a steady mix of rain and snow that lasts most (all?) of the game.
Wind-wise things are in better shape, this hourly wind chart shows winds don’t really pick up until overnight tonight. I expect 10-15mph winds… x.com/i/web/status/1…

It’s going to be a mess out there, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some trends worth pointing out.
Running Back Rushing Attempts
In a game where running the ball is going to be important for both teams, Nick Chubb should get plenty of opportunity for the Browns.
Nick Chubb 2024 carries
Over his rushing attempts line in 2 of his 4 weeks this season, Chubb is averaging 14 carries per game at home against his 11 carries in his only road game. It’s now week 5 for Chubb, and his workload should start to tick up soon. Last Sunday he had his best yards per carry, and in this weather, the run game is going to be important for Cleveland.
On the other side, number one back Najee Harris is the obvious pick for the Steelers. But it was his backup that caught our eye.
Jaylen Warren rush attempts this season
The Steelers have been so run-heavy since Wilson took over, that both of their running backs are eclipsing double-digit rushing attempts. Over their last 5 games, Harris is averaging 18.6 carries, while Warren is averaging 10.0.

Minnesota’s Naz Reid is averaging 15.2 points per game this season, and over his last 5 that’s jumped up to 17.4 points per game. He gets a top-ten matchup tonight against Toronto, who give up 24.3 points per game to centers, 22nd in the NBA.

Chris Paul’s assists line is 8.5 tonight, a line he’s gone over this line in 67% of his games this season, and in 4 of his last 5 games. Paul is averaging 9.4 over these last 4 games and Utah has given up the 2nd most assists to point guards this season (10.84 per game).
