NFL Is Live On The App!

The NFL season is 6 days away, and today we launched the NFL on our app. Our new key feature is the route running tree and the blitz filters that come along with it. Check it out below, and keep an eye out on our YouTube channel for a full tutorial on how it works, how to understand it, and how it can help you with your betting this NFL season. That tutorial will be dropping before the NFL season begins!

Amon-Ra St.Brown’s route running tree

But this newsletter has no NFL trends; it only has trends for week one of the College Football season, which started with a banger last night, and trends for across the pond in the English Premier League. Let’s go!

Colorado and Travis Hunter put the football world on notice last night; it’ll be interesting to see if the Buffaloes can continue this play against high-end teams later in the season. We shall see, but let’s get into some trends.

Jaydon Blue Anytime Touchdown (3:30 PM EST)

Jonathon Brooks went down with an injury late last year, and Jaydon Blue stepped up with CJ Baxter as his running mate. But Baxter is out for the season, so the Longhorns will depend on Blue to carry the ball and as -33.5 point favorites, Texas is going to put up some points.

After Brooks went down last year, Blue had two touchdowns in his final three games of the season.

Damien Martinez Over 72.5 Rushing Yards (3:30 PM EST)

Martinez entered the transfer portal with a fantastic resume from Oregon State, rushing for over 2000 yards and 16 touchdowns over two seasons. He landed at Miami University and will be behind PFF’s 8th best online from their preseason rankings. New quarterback Cam Ward will lean on the dynamic running back against a Florida team that ranked 79th in the nation in run defense last year. They’ve made improvements, but he should still go over this line.

Garrett Greene Over 43.5 Rushing Yards (Saturday, 12 PM) - This Was in Thursday’s Newsletter As Well

Greene and the Mountaineers will kick off their season with alumnus Pat McAfee broadcasting pregame, and in attendance, in what’s considered West Virginia’s most promising outlook for a season in a long time. But they’ll have their hands busy with a Penn State defense that can straight-up ball.

Greene has been over this line in 9 of his last 15 starts, including racking up 71 rushing yards against Penn State last September.

The English Premier League season is well underway, with two matchdays already in the books. Now that we've seen some action, we’re beginning to get a clearer picture of how certain teams and players are shaping up for the rest of the season.

Danny Welbeck Over 0.5 Shots on Target (7 AM EST)

Brighton and Hove Albion are 2-0 to start this season, beating Everton 3-0 and Manchester United 2-1. They face their biggest test so far in Aresenal, but an Aresenal squad that’s given up 6 shots on goal through their first two games. Welbeck is Brighton’s best, and his 3 shots on goal and 2 goals to start the season lead the squad. He should be able to make this trend 3 for 3 three to start the season, in a big match for Brighton.

Christopher Grant Wood Over 0.5 Shots on Target (10 AM EST)

Chris Wood, Nottingham Forest's main striker, must be eager to start this game against Wolves. With Wolves conceding the most goals in the league so far (8 in just two games), Wood should have plenty of opportunities to add to that tally. While it's uncertain whether he'll score, his recent play suggests he'll be a threat—he's already registered 4 shots with 3 on target in his first two games. Expect him to have the space against this weak Wolves back line.

Kevin De Bruyne Over 0.5 Shots on Target (12:30 PM EST)

De Bruyne has managed just one shot on goal through his first two games, and it came against lowly Ipswich Town, but there are two reasons we like this even with his slower start finding the net:

  • He had three shots on goal the last time he played West Ham

  • Dating back to last season, he’s been over this line in 8 of his last 10 games.
