Two Sleeps Until the NFL Returns!
New NFL Features, MLB & WNBA Trends Inside
NFL Kicks Off Thursday
The NFL kicks off in less than 60 hours, can you believe it? We’ve had the NFL live on the app since Friday, featuring our brand-new route running tree chart.
Travis Kellce runs a lot of curls and out routes.
We have a tutorial on our newest feature dropping before the season starts, so keep an eye on our YouTube for that.
MLB Trends
The Props.Cash team, as well as the team from @BookIt and @OwnersBox, will be at the Rogers Centre in Toronto for the Jays and Phillies game tonight, so it’s only fitting that we lead off with a trend from that game.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr Over 1.5 Hits+Runs+RBIs
There are two reasons to like this trend:
Vladdy has been a monster over his last 10 games, with 30 combined hits, runs, and RBIs in that stretch
And he faces Tyler Phillips, who had an ERA above 13 in August in just 11 innings, where he gave up 6 home runs. The cherry on top? Righties have hit Phillips to a .320 average this season. Vlad might be a home run target, too.
In just 82 plate appearances, Phillips has allowed 6 HRs to righties.
Lawrence Butler Over 1.5 Hits+Runs+RBIs
There’s no one hotter in baseball right now than Lawrence Butler. He’s hitting .500 over his last 7 days, and he’s in the midst of a 12-game hitting streak against this line.
He doesn’t get the best matchup against Luis Castillo, but Castillo’s splits still play in our favor here.
Castillo has been hit much harder by lefties than he has righties

Pete Crow-Armstrong Over 0.5 Hits+Runs+RBIs
Lawrence Butler is the hottest bat in baseball, but Crow-Armstrong isn’t far behind. He’s batting .458 over his last 7 days, with 12 total bases over that stretch and 38 combined hits, runs, and RBIs.
He faces Paul Skenes for the third time, and in 4 plate appearances, Crow-Armstrong has managed two hits and an RBI.
Crow-Armstrong has a .500 average against Skenes, in a small sample size
O’Neil Cruz Over 1.5 Hits+Runs+RBIs
Staying with hot hitters, O’Neil Cruz is batting .366 batting over his last 10 games, with 25 combined hits, runs, and RBIs in that stretch. He’s been over this line in 7 of his last 10, and gets a matchup he should pounce on.
Cruz has had zeroes in back-to-back games but has a great chance to rebound today
Cruz faces Kyle Hendricks, who has been just awful this season. These are all real numbers, they jump off the page:
He has a 6.75 ERA this season
A 12.75 ERA over the last two starts
Batters have a .455 average against him in those two games
Left-handed hitters (like Cruz) have a .322 average against Hendricks, compared to righties’ .287 average
Cruz has limited experience against Hendricks, with a .286 average over 7 PA’s
Chris Bassit Over 5.5 Strikeouts
Our final MLB trend in this newsletter, Chris Bassitt gets a matchup against the Phillies that is very dependent on recent history. What we mean is, when the Phillies are on, we would never look at this trend. But when they’re off, there’s some promise in the data. And right now, the Phillies just aren’t clicking.
The Phillies strikeout numbers have vaulted into the top 10 over their last 15 games
The Phillies have 6 or more strikeouts in 3 of their last 4 games against righties, and 6 batters in the projected Phillies lineup have strikeout rates above 20% against Bassitt.
The strikeout rates of Schwarber, Harper, Stott, Realmuto, Marsh and Hays stand out
And lastly, Bassitt has been over this line in 7 of his last 10 home games.
Bassit has very encouraging home stats
